I tend to work very large size, with my virtual canvas, because I never know if something I do will be used for banners, standees or posters. This one was printed at about five inches wide, but has detail down to the watersilk patterns and individual knots.
The background is my own photography of the New Zealand rainforest.

The easter egg in this one? The scabbard for the katana is decorated with the hiragana for "tengu."

Oh, and while I was working on this I was also raising a baby crow, who would gape for food when he saw the image on the screen. Awwww how cute!
